hard and comfortable

  2. Sometimes an adjective can be followed by either the infinitive with to or the -ing form without any significant difference in meaning. In both of these sentences, the writer could have used the infinitive. However, using the -ing form here perhaps gives a little more immediacy to the statement — the writer actually is working in a modern company, or is helping to build his country. He’s not just talking in the abstract. But I would say that either form of the verb is OK here with no significant difference in meaning
